In a world still learning to harmonize the demands of daily living with environmental sustainability, one company is proving that synergy among people, products, and the planet can be more than simply an objective. It can be a reality.
Founded in 2007 by Joe and Danelle Hoffer, CynerGreen develops and markets stainless steel reusable water and beverage bottles for the hospitality and consumer markets. A story of an idea whose time had come, the company’s history demonstrates the difference individuals can make when they back up a vision with unwavering determination.
Prior to launching CynerGreen, both Joe and Danelle worked for many years in the hospitality industry, where they came face to face with three realities: the excessive waste generated by the industry, the growing trend towards “green” living, and their own desire to make a lasting impact in promoting environmental sustainability. Coupling these realizations with their industry expertise, the Hoffers conceptualized a bold plan literally to save the world one bottle at a time by designing and creating customizable, reusable stainless steel water bottles for use at meetings, conventions, and events.
Armed with this idea, the Hoffers went to work, conducting research and development, establishing relationships with manufacturers, and ultimately creating a line of uniquely designed, decidedly chic, and 100% eco-friendly water bottles perfectly-suited not only for events and conventions but also for everyday use by children, adults, and – with the company’s exclusive sippy-cups – even toddlers. The results of CynerGreen’s first e-mail marketing campaign proved the market ripe for the company’s offerings, and sales soon took off. In fact, in the fewer than two years since introducing its product line, CynerGreen has already established a client list that includes Microsoft, Gaylord Hotels, the Terra Resort Group, Staples, American Express Publishing, and DoubleTree Hotels.
Beyond servicing major companies, however, CynerGreen is committed to living out its mission of saving the world, one bottle at a time. To this end, the company provides environmental education information to the public through its main website, CynerGreen.com, as well as through CGKidz.com, the company’s kid-focused site founded and managed by the Hoffer’s 12-year-old daughter, Riley.
Additionally, CynerGreen spearheads and participates in innovative “green” promotional programs including “Bottle Free™”, a program designed to facilitate the plastic-to-sustainable beverage container transformation at large gatherings and corporate events, cities and corporations, and “Plant a Tree for an Attendee™”, a program which provides organizations a way to make a lasting difference by aiding in global reforestation while giving conference attendees customizable “Tree Planting Certificates.”
Backed by early success, CynerGreen has already expanded internationally to Canada and Australia, and with the growing focus on implementing sustainable practices not only across industries but also across borders, the company is poised to continue its expansion into new markets. Indeed, from its headquarters outside Little Rock, Arkansas, the company is daily acting out its mission of saving the world, one bottle at a time.
